Osmanthus is a shrub that produces small white or orange flowers. Also known as Tea Olive, Osmanthus gives off a delicate scent tinged with floral, fruity and oriental notes full of poetic refinement. Osmanthus flower has a fruity note (dried apricot) and a leathery facet with an accent of hay and honey. It is one of the rare fruity notes of natural origin. This fragrant beauty grows in Asia, particularly on the slopes of the Himalayas, a region full of natural treasures and rich with countless legends and mysteries.

According to Jennifer Peace Rhind's book Essential Oils – A Handbook for Aromatherapy Practice, investigations of Osmanthus' aroma in relation to its effects on mood found its "stimulating and happy qualities are further supported by prominent reductions in the negative moods of apathy and depression."

Pure beeswax is the healthiest candle wax one can burn. Beeswax produces negative ions which clean the air of odors, pollens, smoke, dust, dust mites, viruses, plus other allergens. These candles are great for people with allergies and asthma, as opposed to paraffin candles which are toxic when burning. This is made with American beeswax, uses an all cotton and lead free wick, and the smell is divine!

Do be sure to burn for 1-2 hours on the first burn so that the wax burns evenly, and always trim the wick between lighting. Never move a melted candle.
